HistoryThe Carolus hotel is strongly connected to the history of Florence. The neo-classical Palace in which the hotel is located was built in 1865, during a moment in history in which Florence was etching its prominence as the Capital city of the newly founded Kingdom of Italy. The neo-classical palace was initially the residence of a noble florentine family. Today the Carolus hotel, completely renovated by the architects Stefano and Bernardo Tori in 2000, is enjoying a return to its former neo-classical majesty. |
