BY PLANE

From Florence Airport (Peretola)

A bus departs every 15 minutes from the airport (look for the “Navetta Aeroporto”) in front of the arrivals terminal and drops off at the Florence central train station, Santa Maria Novella. The hotel is then just a 10 minute walk from there (take Via Nazionale and then turn into the fourth street on the right which is Via XXVII Aprile; Carolus Hotel is at number 3.)

Alternatively guests may wish to take a taxi from the airport to the hotel directly. This should take approximately 20 minutes.
Alternatively guests may wish to take a taxi from the train station to the hotel directly .

If hiring a car, guests should follow the directions "Viali di circonvallazione" until reaching Piazza della Libertà, then turn into Via Cavour and continue until Piazza San Marco. From Piazza San Marco turn right into Via Arazzieri, which after few meters becomes Via XXVII Aprile. Carolus Hotel is at number 3.

From Pisa Airport (Galileo Galilei)

BY TRAIN

From Florence central train station - Santa Maria Novella (SMN)

You may take a taxi (length of the ride: 5 -10 minutes) or reach Carolus Hotel walking (900 meters/0,6 miles). Leaving the tracks behind you, take the main exit on the left and cross the street at the traffic light; turn right and after 70 meters you find Largo F.lli Alinari. Turn left on via Nazionale; the fourth street on the right is via XXVII Aprile. Carolus Hotel is at number 3.

BY CAR

Coming from North: take the "Firenze Nord" exit and follow the direction " Viali di circonvallazione". Once in Viale Spartaco Lavagnini take Via Santa Caterina d'Alessandria then the first on the left Via delle Ruote , on the right Via Santa Reparata and at the end on the right in Via XXVII Aprile, Carolus Hotel is at numebr 3.

Coming from South: take the "Firenze Sud" exit and continue on the road until reaching the traffic lights at the end of it (approx. 4 kms). At the traffic lights, turn left and follow the direction "Viali di circonvallazione". Once in Viale Matteotti, reach Piazza della Libertà then drive in Via Lorenzo il Magnifico, Via Poliziano, Via Santa Caterina d'Alessandria then the first on the left Via delle Ruote, on the right Via Santa Reparata and at the end on the right Via XXVII Aprile, Carolus Hotel is at number 3. 

Alternative route: drive along Via Santa Caterina d'Alessandria then turn on the left in Via Guelfa then  on the left Via Santa Reparata. At the end of the street turning left you find Via XXVII Aprile, we are immediately on the corner at number 3. IMPORTANT WARNIG: Driving along Via Santa Caterina d'Alessandria, before Via Guelfa, on the left you will find Via XXVII Aprile, do not turn left there because that lane is for city buses and taxes only.

Access to the our city centre area: be aware that in Via Delle Ruote and Via Guelfa you will find a telematics port wich says: only for cars with permissions you can pass through but you need to remember to communicate your car plate at the recption on your arrival in order to avoid to get any fine.
